“PS-Homologation” Automotive Services

“PS-homologation” is operating since 2001 as a personal profession and since 2012 as a single person limited company and offers specialized services to vehicles importers and small vehicle manufacturing companies in Greece. Core business is vehicles’ type approvals and other side business items are translations, training, audits and consulting.

Type approvals services include Greek National Type Approvals of Small Series for N1, N2, N3, M1, M2, M3, O1, O2, O3 & O4 categories & Greek National Individual Type Approvals for the same vehicle categories in cooperation with the Vehicles Technical Service of TUV Austria in Greece. There is also the option of European Approvals for the same vehicle categories that may be issued by any of the Vehicles Approval Authorities of the EU. Another service locally required is setting up registration procedures (i.e. obtaining from the Greek MoT the Greek National Codes necessary for registration) for M1, N1, N2, N3, M2, M3, O1, O2 O3 & O4 vehicles and Motorcycles/Quadricycles covered with EC-WVTA and treatment of end of series vehicles in all the above categories. Dealers’ training of the bigger customers is also offered in order that they achieve timely and correct vehicles registration, at a reasonable rate per training day.
Customers of PS-homologation are big manufacturers like Ford, Volvo, SAAB, SEAT, Land Rover, MG-Rover, local manufacturers of specialist vehicles like Z. MANTOS SA (Ambulances and wheelchair accessible vehicles) and small importers of Chinese motorcycles. It is estimated that almost 10% of new M1 and N1 category vehicles’

The Homologation Service in detail:

• Fill in the data sheets required by the Greek MoT in Excel, in order to feed their National Registration Codes database with the EC-WVTA and/or National Approval data.
• Create the necessary information folder necessary for issuing a National or European Approval according to EC directive 2007/46.
• Submit applications to the Greek MoT and the Vehicles Technical Service of TUV Austria in Greece for National Type Approval (including the creation of National Registration Codes) of all vehicles categories, as well as applications for setting up registration procedures (i.e creation of National Registration Codes) for all category vehicles covered with EC-WVTA.
• Make all necessary communications and arrangements for issuing a European Approval in other EU member states.
• Submit applications for derogation of end of series vehicles the Greek MoT when a new EC directive comes in force and affects new vehicles’ registrations.
• Accept responsibility for all the applications submitted, since a qualified engineer signs all the applications.
• Direct communication with the vehicle’s manufacturing company regarding homologation matters, thus cutting the time of issue of new approvals and also saving the time of the customer’s employees.
• Follow up of all applications submitted to the Greek MoT or the foreign (Malta) authority until the MoT output document is issued.
• Delivery of all homologation documents in .pdf format, for convenient file management.
• Optional delivery of all homologation documents directly to the customer’s dealers via email (applies only to big vehicles’ importers).
• Optional monitoring of the imported vehicles stock, by keeping in file selected data from the vehicles CoCs, in order to track affected vehicles when there is an end of series
  situation (applies only to big vehicles’ importers).
• Optional training of the customer’s dealers to use correctly the National Registration
  Codes database of the Greek MoT, which is accessible via the Internet, in order to achieve quick and correct registration of the vehicles. This service is available only to those customers whose dealers receive the homologation documents directly from “PSHomologation” via e-mail and there is a small additional charge per training day.
